This year we got to stay home for Easter and it was nice to just hang out and not travel.
Friday afternoon, Lars got off a little early and we took the boys to see "How to Train Your Dragon". I had originally gotten a babysitter just for Gunnar, but a few hours before the movie started I decided to not have her come, and to just take him with us. I knew he would be so sad if he saw Ashton coming with us and knew he had to stay home! It was his first movie at a theater and we didn't really know how he would do, but he actually did pretty well for a 2 year old. We had plenty of popcorn and had brought some other treats and drinks, so that kept him pretty busy. And it was a really cute show that entertained them both! Go see it if you haven't!
Saturday it was pretty cold and windy, so we just stayed in all morning and colored eggs. Ashton and Gunnar loved that and would have colored a hundred if we would have let them!
Gunnar dyed a little more than his eggs...he would stick his whole hand in to grab the eggs out. He was too young last year, so this was his first time.
It was kind of crazy busy, but yummy!
Sunday the boys woke up early wondering if the Easter Bunny had come. Ashton was all sad when he woke up and there was nothing in his room, then he went out and searched the living room and still nothing. Finally he and Gunnar went downstairs and saw that the Easter Bunny had come and had hidden lots of Eggs and filled their buckets full.
Our cute Easter boys...
After church we went home and got ready for Aunt Kelli and Grandma and Grandpa Harry to come down for dinner.
Lars made pulled pork sandwiches and cornbread.
It was a fun day!
