Caught UP!?!?!

I never really thought I'd ever be able to say this ...but this last weekend I got completely caught up
on my scrapbooking! Who knows when I'll ever be able to say it again, but for today it's a good feeling!
The only way I was able to do it, was by using these albums. They are from Creative Memories and they're called Picfolio albums...and basically just look like a photo album with little slots to put your pictures in, but you can be a little more creative and kind of scrapbook them. They made it so fast and easy! I got 2 whole albums done...64 pages! And I really like how they turned out.

My friend Brianne and her 4 sisters and Mom rented out the room at the Book Table all weekend to get together and scrapbook and Brianne was nice enough to invite me to come along...thanks Bri!

I didn't ever know about the room there, but it's a pretty good deal. Each person just has to buy $10 worth of products from the store and that gets the room for your group for a full day (10 am until as late as you want!) We stayed till 2:00 am the night I went. Anyway I want to do it again, so if anyone ever wants to get together and book it, let me know!

Here are my albums and a few more of my pages....

Dear Gunnar...

Some day when you are a teenager (or before I guess) and you decide that you "hate" me, I will think back to this adorable little boy in this cute striped sleeper, all clean and smelling so sweet after his bath, who came up to me and looked straight in my eyes and said "I love you Mommy",
then wrapped his arms around my neck and gave me a big hug.I love you too :)

Ashton's first SOCCER Game!

We finally got a really nice sunny day yesterday and Ashton had his very first soccer game. I'm a soccer Mom!
After being a little nervous to play (like he is with anything new)......he had a lot of fun and all of the kids did really well.

Gunnar loved cheering him on saying "Go AGGIE!"
Oh and doing lots of sommersaults!I hope Ashton continues to really like it, because it sure is fun to watch!
When choosing his jersey I had to get
Lucky #11 :)
Taking a break to entertain his new friends with a little armpit music...Way to go Ashton!

Gunnar's first visit to Insta Care :(

On Sunday afternoon I was cleaning up lunch and Lars and Kelli were in the living room, when we noticed it was a little too quiet. So Lars went searching for Gunnar and found him in the bathroom with the door closed, so he opened the door and checked on him. He was brushing his teeth, and wanted to be left alone, so Lars closed the door and let him continue brushing. Then about 5 seconds later we all hear a big crash and a big cry. We all went running and found that Gunnar had pulled the bathroom drawer out onto himself! It first hit him in the face and did this...
Then as he's screaming bloody murder I'm looking all over to see what else could be hurting and I see his little toe on his left foot bleeding badly and obviously cut pretty bad. So I took him out and put him on the counter so we could get a better look at it. Once again so nice to have nurse Kelli here to do an assessment (and for so many countless other reasons). We could see that it had totally skinned the top of it and the toenail was loose, but then when we flipped it over, the whole bottom of it was skinned bad too and to me it looked like it was broken and almost hanging off! It was so nasty. It was really hard to tell how bad it was though with all of the blood and Gunnar freaking out so bad, so Kelli suggested we take him in. So we headed into Insta Care.
Ashton of course was seeing all of this and was being so cute with Gunnar. He kept hugging him and kissing him and telling him it was okay. Well that is in between asking us if his toe was going to fall off and if he was going to die!
Then as I'm carrying Gunnar into the place Ashton says...
"I think Gunnar's going to need a wheelchair."
Oh Ashton...We had to laugh!
Anyway the nurses and doctor checked out his toe and cleaned it off (as he was still hysterical the entire time), and decided that it wasn't bad enough to need stitches, so the nurse just put antibiotic ointment on it and bandaged it up. Then he had to have it x-rayed to make sure it wasn't broken and it's not.
Poor little guy :((the look on his face says it all!)
He will lose his toenail I'm sure, but hopefully in about a week it will look a lot better...sorry for the graphic picture...I told you it was nasty!
After we got home and he took his nap, he wanted me to hold him for awhile, but then I put some of Ashton's old slippers on him, so he could go outside and he started walking, then running on it just fine.
After changing the bandages this morning (and crying during that) he's back to his happy little self today!

Easter Weekend...

This year we got to stay home for Easter and it was nice to just hang out and not travel.
Friday afternoon, Lars got off a little early and we took the boys to see "How to Train Your Dragon". I had originally gotten a babysitter just for Gunnar, but a few hours before the movie started I decided to not have her come, and to just take him with us. I knew he would be so sad if he saw Ashton coming with us and knew he had to stay home! It was his first movie at a theater and we didn't really know how he would do, but he actually did pretty well for a 2 year old. We had plenty of popcorn and had brought some other treats and drinks, so that kept him pretty busy. And it was a really cute show that entertained them both! Go see it if you haven't!
Saturday it was pretty cold and windy, so we just stayed in all morning and colored eggs. Ashton and Gunnar loved that and would have colored a hundred if we would have let them! Gunnar dyed a little more than his eggs...he would stick his whole hand in to grab the eggs out. He was too young last year, so this was his first time.
After we cleaned all of that mess up, we decided to go try out the new Rumbi that had opened the day before. I LOVE Rumbi and was so excited to see it was coming to town!
It was kind of crazy busy, but yummy!
Sunday the boys woke up early wondering if the Easter Bunny had come. Ashton was all sad when he woke up and there was nothing in his room, then he went out and searched the living room and still nothing. Finally he and Gunnar went downstairs and saw that the Easter Bunny had come and had hidden lots of Eggs and filled their buckets full.
Gunnar's favorite part was finding the eggs, then popping them open to get to the chocolate! Of course Ashton liked finding the eggs too, but he wanted to check out the other stuff in his bucket first. After all the eggs were found and we had breakfast it was time to get ready for church...

Our cute Easter boys...I love going to Mass on Easter morning. Of course it's hard with two boys already full of too much sugar and energy, but it's such a wonderful celebration of our Savior and I'm so glad we go.
After church we went home and got ready for Aunt Kelli and Grandma and Grandpa Harry to come down for dinner.

Lars made pulled pork sandwiches and cornbread.
It was a fun day!
