Wedding Weekend trip to Ohio!

By the time this came around I was SO excited for my getaway and for Beth and Satheesh's wedding!
I flew out on Friday morning...

And was able to stay till Sunday night.
I had such a great time!
Dad picked me up from the airport when I flew in and we drove to the hotel. The Hilton in downtown Cincinnati...It was a huge, really nice hotel.
I checked into my room and relaxed for a little bit, then went down to the Subway in the hotel and got a sandwich, then ironed my dress and got ready for the rehearsal dinner.
It was on the roof of another hotel nearby and was so much fun. Great job Beth and Satheesh. Such a fun location and atmosphere and great food!
And so fun to see family I hadn't seen for a long time...
Me and Ashley :)
 Beth and me...
Love this pic of these two!
Uncle Sam and me...

Beautiful view!
 Love these cousins...
A bunch of us walked back to the hotel after having cake and ice cream...I had to take my shoes off, they were killing me!
It was a late night and nice to get to bed.
My room...
I got up at about 8:30 and hurried and got dressed and went down and met up with Sam and Susan and Dad and Michelle for breakfast in the hotel.
Then we wandered around downtown for a little bit.
This cool fountain was right by our hotel.
I think I went and took a nap after that, then got up and got another sandwich, then started getting ready for the wedding.
The dress I ended up choosing...
Super blurry, but we all had to be down in the Hall of Mirrors room for pictures before the wedding...

 Then the wedding....
 Everything was beautiful!
The dinner...
Such a fun night I was so glad I got to be a part of!
Last picture of the night with my only 3 cousins...:)
Another late night up way past my bedtime! I went straight to bed
after I went up to my room, then got up at about 8:00 and got ready again for the brunch that morning.
After we went to that, Dad and Michelle had to head to the airport, so I hung out with Ashley and her boyfriend Matt  & Geoff and his fiancĂ© Kate the rest of the day.
We went to a museum and I actually enjoyed it!
It was fun and interesting...
This was fun to watch...the ping pong explosion or something they called it.
I know the boys would have loved it!
We ate lunch there, watched a movie that I might have slept through ;) then went back to the hotel and went up to Ashley's and Beth's mom's room and played the card game Oh Hell that we always used to play with Grandpa until it was time for us all to get back to the airport. My flight was about 7:00 that night.
I made it home finally at about 11:00 Utah time. It was another long day, but I was so grateful I got to go on my little getaway!

Shopping for a dress...

I had made plans a few months ago to go to my cousin Beth's wedding in Ohio and after I booked my flight and hotel, I knew I needed to start looking for a dress. I very rarely wear dresses and knew it might be hard to find something I felt comfortable in! So I went shopping in Layton one day with my friend Jana and I just have to say that it was so much fun! Really half the fun of anything is the anticipation and days or weeks or months leading up to it. And that was the case with this wedding trip.
I tried on a ton of dresses...most looked awful on me, but I did finally find this one that I loved immediately!
And it was inexpensive. So I got it, but then started to think I should find another one for the rehearsal dinner, so I kept looking.
Oh and while I was at the store that I got that dress at, Jana brought me a prom dress to try on! Haha...so funny and so fun to act like we are 16!
After the mall, we went to Target and I found two really cute dresses there!
So I got both of them and also a dress from Macy's and came home with all of them to show Lars so he could help me decide, knowing I would take a couple of them back. Jana and Tallie also came over one night for me to do a fashion show haha.
Another day Jana, Clarice, Tallie and I went back down to Layton and returned this one...
And went shoe shopping.
Another fun day leading up to the wedding weekend!
I am so grateful for these friends :)
And the great times we have together!
I think I about drove everyone crazy with my indecision about what I was going to end up wearing! But I ended up being happy with my choices!

Crimson Trail...

While I was doing Epic, Lars took the boys to Price and they had all planned to come home on Sunday, but Lars said the boys begged to stay for a few more days so he let them! I had a bunch of pta stuff to be working on that week and I knew they would just be bored at home, so I didn't mind. One of the days while they were gone I went shopping in Layton after our first PTA meeting, and when I got back, Lars was getting ready to go for a hike, so I went with him.
We did Crimson trail and it was a really fun one!
