Gunnar's Christmas program...

Gunnar had been talking a lot about his upcoming Christmas program and I'd hear him singing the cute songs all the time. Then yesterday was finally the day they got to perform. It was so cute :)
Here he is being shy on his way up to the stage...
You can't really see him in this picture, but here are both of the kindergarten classes...
And a little flashback to when Ashton did the same program 3 years ago wearing almost the same outfit :)

Boys school Christmas parties...

On Thursday Gunnar had his Christmas party at school and I was in charge of the treat, so here is what we did...
The kids loved them!
I love being able to go into his class...I am so treasuring these days. His cute teacher had a knee replacement this week, so she'll be out for awhile. I feel so bad for her! But she has a great replacement for while she's gone...she seems really sweet, her name is Miss Dimmick.
Anyway a couple more pics from his party...
And his cute tree project that he and I made together this week...
I love my job :)
Ashton's party was yesterday...I am the head room Mom for his class and there are about 9 of us that volunteer, so I just had another Mom head up this party and I helped out with the games. It was a lot of fun too! And ironically Ashton's teacher also had a knee surgery this week and will be out for the whole break and at least a couple days after school starts back up.
Some pictures from his party...
Ashton got this hat at the Bandito show...he told me the next day that he was going to keep it his whole life & I said okay...how come? And he told me that it was adult size so he could keep it forever!

Bandito Christmas Show!

Ever since we went over to Bear Lake this last summer and saw Bandito Rides Again at Pickleville Playhouse, we've been looking forward to going to another Bandito show and were so excited to see that there was going to be a Christmas one in Logan. As soon as I heard about it, I got online and got tickets. That was a couple months ago and the show was finally last Monday. It ended up selling out for all of the nights it was playing in Logan as well as in Salt Lake. We were all excited to go, then poor Gunnar woke up in the middle of the night with a fever on Sunday and ended up staying home from school on Monday and throwing up once that morning. But he gradually felt better as the day went on and I kept praying he'd be okay so we could go to the show. He didn't feel 100% but with some ibuprofen in him, he felt pretty good...good enough to go.
We had 2nd row seats front and center and it was so much fun!

First ice fishing trip of the season...

Last Saturday we went out ice fishing for the first time this season. Ashton is all about friends these days and always wants to be playing with one of his many, or of course wants to bring one along if we go somewhere. We love his cute little friend Hayden, so I'm glad he was the one available to come.
We had a mostly fun day...It was freezing & windy, so we were grateful for the tent and heater and spent a lot of time in there.
The boys as usual didn't spend a whole lot of time fishing though. Mostly they ate all the snacks and messed around in the snow and on the ice.
Gunnar did have fun for quite awhile looking down into the hole and seeing the fish.
 He caught this one...
Then I caught this one and Hayden wanted to hold it...
Lars caught a few others...
...then Gunnar accidentally stepped back into one of the holes and sunk down to his hip and was sopping wet, cold and mad! So that was when our day ended.
Good times!
Oh and then they came home and did this...silly boys!

Santa visit...

We did our visit to Santa/Willard Lights last week...it was chilly but fun! First we me the Hansons out in Paradise to try out the little Cracker Barrel restaurant out there and it was really good!
Then we followed eachother over to Willard.
I wondered if this would be the year that Gunnar sat on Santa's lap all by himself, but he said no he still wanted me there with him. Secretly it made me really happy :) These days are going by way too fast and I love these moments...
And I also love this picture Lars happened to capture...hahaha :)
 Ashton & Santa...blurry :(
Having a serious chat...
We did the horse drawn wagon ride to see the lights before seeing Santa...
Lars loves it ;)
Fun night :)

Elfis...

Our cute Elf Elfis showed up one morning a couple weeks ago with a letter to the boys and some donuts...they were both excited to see him :)
And are excited every morning since to run out and find what he's done or gotten into the night before. My favorite thing he's done this year...
Went into their rooms and took pictures of himself with them while they were sleeping then put the pictures in some frames...
One night he left out some special Santa hats from Santa and told the boys to wear them while they helped us deliver our neighbor gifts...
Movie night with this little gnome named Tonto that Ashton got to bring home from school as a part of a project that they do...
Christmas has snuck up so fast on us this year...I really have been trying to slow down and simplify & really remind the boys the real reason for this wonderful season. They are still kids though and are SO excited for Christmas morning! It won't be long now...

A couple more photoshoots and now I'm done for awhile :)

A couple weekends ago I did two more photoshoots and now I think I'm done for a little while with our snowy weather.
I re-did the Johnsons because we really only had gotten 1 or 2 pictures of the whole family with everyone looking at smiling. Most of the ones the previous time, their 4 year old Keaton would not even look at me...haha :)
So we went back out and got a ton of good ones...he warmed right up to me and the whole photoshoot went much better than the first!
so here are some of my favorites from that day...
Then the next day I did my friend Erica's whose engagement I captured a couple years ago...
