The weekend before last the boys had a ski lesson. We purposefully didn't tell them they were taking a lesson till we got up to the mountain. See how happy everyone is before we told them?
And just like we expected they were NOT happy when Lars told them that they were being put in lessons. But after a few meltdowns, we got their ski clothes and skis on and went over and waited for their lesson to start. Still not happy, but just like we knew would happen, they got started then had lots of fun!
Before that day, Gunnar still needed Lars to lift him up and ski with him off the lift. Well within an hour, he was getting off by himself and also skiing without his tips clipped together!
Ashton did great too and learned how to turn much better...
All smiles by the end of the day...
They were supposed to have another lesson last Sunday, but after we got all ready and drove up to the entrance of the canyon, we got stopped and were told that the canyon was closed due to 3 avalanches that had happened over night and were blocking parts of the road. We waited for about an hour, then turned around and went home and later found out that it ended up being closed all day. So they'll have to make up their lesson in a couple weeks.

So glad they ended up loving their lessons. :) Cute cute in their snow outfits too! :)
That's great they liked their lessons. I am sure it will end up helping them out in the long run.
