Disneyland continued....

I left off right where we had just gotten to the park the first day...
Such a fun day! Some of the hightlights ...
The very first thing we did was Star Tours...kind of a crazy fun Star Wars ride :)
That first day we watched the Jedi Training and Ashton hoped to be called up, but he wasn't...
None of us much liked Space Mountain...a fast roller coaster that is totally in the dark!
Gunnar and I playing Rock, Paper Scissors while we waited :)
Ashton and Lars rode Splash Mountain..you can see Lars in the front and he got soaked!
This was a cute little ride :)
As hard as I tried to...I never did get a really good picture of all of us in front of the big castle. Everyone that I asked to take a picture ended up cutting off the whole top of the castle! Oh well...
Something we did not ride...the teacups :)
Gunnar's favorite thing...this cute little roller coaster in Toontown :)
Lots and lots of walking!
Fun to meet Mickey...(oh Ashton and his forced smiles)...
These cars were fun to drive...Ashton loved being able to drive us around the track!
Gunnar was excited to build his own lightsaber and I was surprised, but Ashton didn't want to do it. He chose to buy one that was already made that had Mickey on it, so that it would be more of a Disneyland souvenir :)
Either way...they loved them!
This was right before the parade started, we got a quick dinner and a couple of these huge Mickey cookies :)
Gunnar was just taking it all in...the parade did not disappoint!
Hard to imagine putting on that huge show every night...
On our way out of the park that first day...
Waiting for the shuttle back to our hotel...they were excited we finally let them play with their lightsabers!
Funny kid :)
Up next...California Adventure on our day 3!

DiSneYLaNd...Day 1 and a half...

We had such a fun, fun trip to Disneyland last week!
We left on Wednesday, May 9th and came back home on Tuesday the 15th. We had been looking forward to it for months, and it was well worth the wait! We took almost 750 pictures while we were there, so I will just post some of my favorites. I can't wait to make shutterfly disney books for the boys :)
Here we are on our way, the boys set up with their movie in the back seat of the truck...
Headed over to the shuttle... So excited!
Our flight was fine...short and sweet, the boys entertained themselves looking out the window, having their snacks and drinks and playing Ashton's DS.
After we landed in California, we took a shuttle to our hotel...
The Ayers Inn in Orange (about 10 minutes away from Disney).
It was great...I'd totally stay there again...
Of course the first thing the boys wanted to do was swim in the hotel pool!

Ashton was craving nachos, so after we got them out of the pool and showered, we walked the couple blocks to the outdoor outlet mall and found a yummy place to eat that had some...
After dinner, we made the short walk back to our hotel and enjoyed some freshly baked yummy chocolate chip cookies (that were left out at the front desk every night :)
In my opinon every hotel should offer them!
Then it was off to bed to get some sleep before our first Disneyland day! If only they weren't so excited they couldn't sleep...it took a long time to doze off that night. Little stinkers!
And they were up and ready to go to breakfast pretty early. We ate breakfast every morning at the buffet at our hotel.
Then that day (Thursday) we shuttled into Disneyland...
Super excited...
Finally here and not happy to have to stop for a picture...
Checking out the map...
To be continued...(at least I started this HUGE post ;)

Teddy Bear Picnic :)

Gunnar was so excited for his little Teddy Bear Picnic at school last week...they all got to bring their favorite teddy bear or stuffed animal and have a little picnic, so he chose to bring his Build a Bear that he named Lolly.
I can't get enough of this kid...he is SO darn cute!
He was excited to tell me all about it when he got home...sounds like it was a fun day :)

A top tooth makes 4!

One of Ashton's top teeth had been wiggly for what seemed like a really long time...I was always asking him if I could wiggle it. Well finally the day before yesterday he got it to where it was really loose and wanted me to tie some floss around it and try to pull it out. Well after trying a couple times and just having the floss break when I yanked, he decided he was just going to pull it out himself. It took a lot more wiggling, but then finally he ripped it out and I got the whole dramatic experience on video this time!
It flew out of his mouth and hit the mirror and splattered blood all over the sink! Exciting stuff.
I think he looks so cute with his missing teeth :)
And he was excited to once again put another tooth under his pillow and get a surprise the next morning!
