This has become a fun tradition...I can't believe it was our 4th year going to stay at Lava!
And I think it was our most fun trip so far. Partly because no one was sick!
We drove up on Sunday the 22nd and got there early in the afternoon and left the next morning after breakfast.
It snowed almost the whole time we were there.
Kind of fun to sit in the hot water with it snowing on you!
And the boys discovered it was even more fun to collect snow and see how fast it would melt in the water.
Then we played a fun game of trying to throw little snowballs across the water and make it into each other's mouth...Ashton finally got one in mine.

Anyway we just had a really fun time.
After we played in the water for a couple hours, we got out and got dressed and went back to the room for a little bit before dinner.
While we were in the room, I started eating an apple, so then Gunnar wanted one and when he started eating his, one of his already loose bottom teeth got really loose! So loose that it was really hurting him. So I encouraged him to keep wiggling it until he could push it forward with his tongue. At that point I knew that it needed to come out or he wasn't going to be able to eat dinner. So I tried to get him to just yank it out, but he wouldn't. So I reached in and gave it a good pull and heard it crack, but it didn't quite come out. So I did it again and got it!
Gunnar didn't even flinch or cry...tough guy!
And he was really excited to have lost his first tooth!
Somehow he still just seems too little to me for that to have already happened...
So after we got it to quit bleeding, we went to the little pizza place in town...
...and had dinner, then went back to the room and Tangled happened to be on tv so we watched that, then went to bed.
Oh and took this funny picture of Lars next to this car...haha :)
Unfortunately we "forgot" to put Gunnar's tooth under his pillow (because someone had spent all of our dollars on lottery tickets!), so he was one very sad boy when he woke up in the morning and realized she hadn't come :( Poor Gunnar...he cried for quite awhile. I felt bad for him!
But we assured him that she would come to our house that next night if he put his tooth under his own pillow. And sure enough she did and left him a $2 bill!
Anyway, such a fun tradition that I hope these two will look back on and have great memories of someday :)
