Spring Soccer...

Ashton and Gunnar have both been playing spring soccer and it has been so much fun to watch their games...I love it!
Grandma came down one Saturday and got to watch both of them too...
The few pictures I've taken...
They both only have a couple games left, I need to be better about taking pictures like I used to!

St. Baldrick's fundraiser...

A few weeks ago, my good friend Starlee called me and asked me if I would be willing to come shave heads at a fundraiser at the middle school where her sister teaches. They were having a big St. Baldrick's foundation Cancer research fundraiser and a lady who was going to be one of the head shavers dropped out last minute. I was so excited and glad that I was available!
So I went that Friday morning and participated in it and shaved 4 heads...2 teenage boys, a teacher and a teenage girl. It was so much fun, they did it in a big assembly with all of the students and teachers with loud music. It was such a fun event and so neat to see all of these kids raising money for a great cause! They raised over $6000!
Fun pictures from that day...
Article in the paper a couple days later!

Date night...

One night a few weeks ago, Lars was taking Ashton to a fantasy football camp up at Utah State, so Gunnar and I had a date night too. He of course chose to go to the fun park and I got him some tokens and he had so much fun doing the arcades. He put 4 tokens into this game trying to win the 1000 and almost did the first time, but just won 40 tickets. Then went and used the rest of his tokens on other things.
Then he begged me to let him get 4 more tokens so he could try this one again and it actually landed on the 1000! He was beyond excited and I loved the look on his face when he realized he won...so cute.
And it took forever for 1000 tickets to come out of that machine!
After he got them all he finally chose a little stuffed fox in exchange for his tickets.
Then we decided to go bowling...
It was fun for a few minutes until he got super frustrated with his ball going into the gutter every time, but he would not let me have them put the bumpers up!!Oh well...
After that he was starving and chose pizza pie café.
We had a fun date :)
And Ashton and Lars had a great time at the football camp. They got to go down on the field with a bunch of the players and run drills and got to tour the locker room and listen to the head coach etc...
In front of Chucky Keeton's locker!

Spring storm...

After this very mild winter, about a month ago we got the biggest storm I think we'd had since Christmas! I think it put down about 8 inches.
I told Gunnar after school to hurry and play in it before it was all gone,
and this is what he did...
It was weird how he could just roll it up like this!
I told friends that this was what I told them to do for their chore after school, "Go roll up the snow off of the grass!"
haha.
I think it was all melted the next day.

Easter...2015

Easter was the Sunday after we got back from Texas and it was a beautiful day. The boys woke up and found their Easter buckets and searched for eggs all over the house, then we got ready for church and went at 10:00.
I love Easter mass and am so grateful for our faith and for the sacrifice Jesus made for us!
Pictures from the morning...
Pictures after church...
One of the only days of the year we are all ever dressed up.
I asked the boys to stand back to back, and this is what I got :)
I love them....
Mom and Harry came down for the day and for dinner and it was a really fun day just relaxing at home.
We played a fun game of Apples to Apples and laughed a lot before it was time for them to go. Then we of course took a few pictures!
Oh and a few pictures from the neighborhood egg hunt the day before...

Last day in Texas...time to head home.

I think we had to leave the house about 9:30 to get to the airport in Houston in time, so we got up about 7:00 to get ready and have breakfast.
The boys were wishing all week that we'd planned to stay longer and were mad at us for not!
They had so much fun, it was hard to say goodbye...
I forgot to mention how much they loved Paisley...
Oh and I forgot to mention that last morning when we were getting ready to go, Ashton went out one last time to try to catch his tail-less lizard and all of a sudden I heard him say I got him, then scream again when the lizard whipped it's head around and bit him causing Ashton to let him go! hahaha :)

Picture at the airport before security...
I didn't realize how sad they really were till we were sitting at our gate waiting to board the plane and I looked over at Ashton and he was crying :(
Then Gunnar started to. It was so sad!
They kept asking why we had to leave and when we'd get to go back.
We had an uneventful flight, then grabbed our luggage and headed out to the shuttle. We walked out of the airport into freezing wind!
I can't even remember what time we got home...anyway, such a fun spring break!

Texas Trip (Day 5)

Our last full day was supposed to be the least nice weather, so we planned to just hang out in the morning and then go to a movie in the afternoon. So I got up and ran again and it was still hard, but not quite as sunny and humid. Lars was still sore from our other run, so he stayed home.
I guess I forgot to mention that my knee is doing great as I gradually up my miles with running again. I started out really slow and have gradually built up to 4 and a half miles. It has been hard to start over and I had a really hard time getting motivated at first, but it's gradually getting easier now. And I'm so glad I am avoiding that knee pain!
Anyway we ended up going to see the
movie Home that day and it was really cute.

We got there about 45 minutes early for the one that wasn't in 3D, so the boys got to play some arcade games...
Then after the movie we went and got ice cream at Dairy Queen and headed back home. I think we had tacos again that night then packed up our stuff to head back the next day...
