Random phone pictures...

I still take SO many pictures!
Here are some recent random ones from my phone...
Gunnar and I rode our bikes down to the dollar store one day this summer while Ashton was at scouts :)
I had referred my painters to a friend, so I got a room painted for free! I asked Ashton first, but he said he didn't want his painted, so Gunnar got to get his done. With some help he chose 3 walls Philosophical Gray, and one wall Candy Apple Red.
Love how it turned out! And that we didn't have to do it :)
Summer chores! Loved having their help :)
I still love to snap pictures of them sleeping :) Sweet boys...
Ashton is 10 1/2...his feet are officially as big as mine!
Playing so nice one day...I just loved how they were sitting by each other like this :)
Playing in the rain for a second!
Shopping day with Gunnar while Ashton was at his all day scout camp...it reminded me of days when he was always my side kick. He is so fun to be around :) And he loved that it looked like he had 4 heads!
Bad crash on his scooter :(
I had him smiling again pretty quick though! Ouch!
Another new pair of glasses :/ This time broke them doing a flip onto the couch!
Picking cherry tomatoes for me :)

Pickleville for Grandma's Birthday!

I love this tradition and loved going to another Bandito show this summer for Grandma's birthday. It was a great show and lots of fun!
The boys and I drove over and met Grandma at Café Sabor for lunch...
Ashton requested super spicy salsa...haha, funny kid!

Then we went over to Pickleville.
This guy was messing around with Gunnar and copying him before the show...so cute :)
This one was called "The one with the Monkey" And had this guy with these crazy abs playing the monkey...
I just love the humor in these shows...I think they are so fun! Can't wait till the next one :) And I love that it is something to go do that we can get for Grandma for her Birthday!

Lady Antebellum!!

I love this summer tradition with these friends, we have SO much fun together every time we get together and then we wonder why we don't do it way more often!
When we heard Lady A was coming with Sam Hunt (a new favorite of mine!) we knew we wanted to get tickets and go. And we counted down the days till it was time to go. It fell on July 29th, the day after my birthday and we had a blast!
We stopped and ate at my new favorite restaurant (that Logan doesn't have) called Zupas, then headed down.
Somehow we always forget how bad the traffic is and once again got stuck in it and once again were late! And sadly Sam Hunt was almost done playing when we finally got parked and walked in and it was packed! We just got lawn seats, so we threw out blankets down, then walked further down closer to the front and were able to see him do just one song :(
Oh well...
Then we just ended up hanging out down there and trying to think of how we could get into some of the lots of empty seats in that lower area. Eventually Randi went and asked a lady if we could and she said yes! So we ended up having great seats! And Lady Antebellum was awesome as usual!
So much fun!!! Can't wait till our next one :)

Hobble Creek camping...

For as long as I can remember I have heard my Dad, Grandpa, Mom, and cousin Neil talk about camping at Hobble Creek when I was little. Always stories about it, but I never knew exactly where it was and had never been back till this summer.
Lars really wanted to do a camping trip there so we planned it and went and stayed 2 nights one weekend. It's kind of a long drive and half of it on a dirt road, but soooo pretty there and a fun little campground that we all but had to ourselves!
We got there on Friday afternoon and set up camp and hung out around there that night. We even brought the bunk cots for the boys. They are a pain to set up and take down, but they love them and have so much fun on them.
They all went and played in the creek that night then we had dinner and a fire and on Saturday we got up and had breakfast and got ready to do the hike up to Lake Alice.
The trail starts right near where we camped and goes up a mile and a half. Lots of complaining on the way up, but it was so worth it to get to the top and to the lake.
So pretty!
We had packed a lunch and fishing stuff and stayed a few hours.
We caught a few fish...
The boys still complained while we were up there for awhile, but then got busy carving sticks for awhile...
And then finally decided to just get in and it became the funnest place ever...
No towels or extra clothes of course, so Gunnar put Lars' shirt on to dry off :)
After they dried off enough we had a rock skipping contest then headed back down. Lars has a hidden talent with that...he has some mad rock skipping skills and obviously won!
The hike down was much faster and not any complaining!
That was the day my knee started hurting again though, so I iced it and stretched a lot when we got back.
They shot their bows a lot while we were there and of course sat around and played in the fire. We love camping!
Everyone slept pretty good in the tent and after getting up and having breakfast on Sunday we started the big project of taking everything down and re-packing up the truck! It is a lot of work...but worth these camping memories for sure :)
