Wow...where to even start. There are about 1000 pictures on my phone that every day I tell myself I need to get off of my phone and onto my computer. I am going to attempt that today.
How is it already July 15th?
How is it already July 15th?
Summer really is flying by so fast. We are loving summer this year, but I really wish time would slow down. It has been so busy and so fun!
This could be a long post...
In some ways I feel like summers are harder now that the boys are older, but then at the same time I think they are easier. Mostly they are happy to be at home playing outside, then inside, then outside with friends and each other.
We had one full week at home before it was time for them to go to Price for their annual soccer camp week. They (and we) look forward to this week all year and it is always so much fun for all of us! We took them to Salt Lake to meet Nana & Papa and Hunter on that Saturday, June 6th. We ate lunch at Olive Garden then Ashton and Gunnar got in with them and they drove to Price and we drove home.
We always miss them, but it also always so nice to have the break at home alone.
I got a lot done this time...cleaned out the whole play room and sold lots of stuff the boys haven't played with in years and made room for this fun foosball/pool/hockey table I had gotten for a great deal on the classifieds.
We went fishing one night...
Got caught up on my scrapbooking...at least through Easter.
Went running, went for a hike, rode my bike and slept in every day. It was nice!!
My other big project on my list was to at least get a start on the photo wall I have been wanting to do.
So I did get all of the frames picked out including ones I had already had and got it all laid out how I wanted it. But that was as far as I got and then it laid there on the floor for the next two weeks!
Eventually I did this...traced each frame and cut out a paper to hang on the wall first so it all was spaced and positioned right.
Then it sat like that for days...
Then finally I hung the papers on the wall, with Lars' help.
Then one day he happily (not really) finally helped me hang all of the frames...
Not really an easy task since the wall is above the stairs.
Then all the frames hung on the wall for another week or so with no pictures in them, but now finally it is all done! And I love it :) I love pictures and it's so fun to have more of my favorites hanging on the wall instead of stuck on my computer!
So all in all, it was a great week and the boys had a blast in Price with Hunter and Nana and Papa.
We went back down on Thursday night and watched the last day of their camp on Friday morning...
I love this picture :) Never any other time will you see them holding hands!
Then we all came home on Sunday after church.
I know they will have great memories of their soccer week spent in Price during their summers :)
What else?
Some random pictures...
Cookout with Villas up the canyon...
First trip to the pool...
I really had no intention of getting wet that day, but I ended up having to jump in and save Gunnar at one point. It was scary and I was glad I had my eye on him!
Gunnar had set out his clothes like this the night before they went to Price...I thought it was so cute :)
Our tiny garden...peas and tomatoes.
Have I mentioned I am not a gardener?
Tomatoes are doing great...peas, not so much. Oh well!
Sleeping out in the backyard in a tent one night...
And I love that they are capable of helping me with all sorts of chores now :)
Of course they don't always do it happily, but they do it!
We went out to Hyrum one day with friends that had kayaks...so much fun!
I got tickets to this fun play one night...It was really well done, but a little long for the boys. They had never even seen the movie before.
So many hours spent doing this! Sprinkler under the tramp...
