Obviously I started this post last week and never finished it...
I really just can't believe school starts in 2 days!! Like we have done the past couple years, we spent our last weekend before back to school over at Ideal Beach Resort at Bear Lake. We had a fun, relaxing time and it went by too fast.
We got over there at about 1:00 on Saturday, so we went and grabbed lunch at Merlins...
Then headed over to Ideal. We couldn't check in till 4, so we played mini golf then the boys played for awhile on the huge playground until we could get checked in.
Of course after that, the first thing they couldn't wait to do was swim in the pool! They absolutely loved the slide this year!
So they swam and swam for about 2 hours before we finally made them get out and get showered so we could go to dinner.
Grandma drove over from Evanston to go with us and we ended up at Jake's Place.
Dinner for the boys was Old Grist Mill bread with Jam...
After we ate, she came and hung out in our room with us for a little while before it was time to get ready for bed.
They loved sleeping in the bunk beds again this year and each took a turn on the top bunk.
Sunday morning I got up and went for a run, then we all went down to the park and the beach for a little while, the boys were having fun shooting rocks out of their slingshots at all sorts of things...seagulls included, but luckily their aim isn't quite that good :)
Then of course when the pool opened at 10:00 that's where they wanted to be.
We let them swim till about lunch time then ended up at Merlin's again because everywhere was so busy!
Our friends the Rusnack's came over and met us there then spent a few hours at the beach and the pool with us, then we all went to Cafe Sabor for dinner before they headed back.
Before dinner we hung out in the room for awhile yet again watching part of Journey 2 and after awhile I realized Gunnar had fallen asleep on my lap :)
After dinner when we got back to the resort the boys played on the playground for awhile again.
This slide replaced the old metal slide that the boys loved and always talked about...we were kind of sad!
Oh well...they still managed to have fun on it :)

...then we got ice cream and went back to the room and watched half of Mirror Mirror before bed.
After another good night's sleep we got up and got all of our stuff packed up and ready to go, then went back to the pool for one last time and Lars and the boys swam for another hour and a half or so.
After they got dressed, we let them play on the playground for awhile before we headed out to grab some lunch.

After lunch we drove home. It's so nice that it's a quick hour drive for a fun getaway :)

Finishing up swimming...I never get pictures of them without their swim shirts on, so I made them pose for a quick picture...cute little skinny bodies!Sheesh...we do feed them :)
We ended up at Jake's again...there really aren't too many places to eat over there!
