Another fun day at Bear Lake...

A couple weeks ago my cute friend Shelly invited us to come over to their cabin at Bear Lake for the day. We gladly accepted. Well I did...they boys weren't too excited about the ride over, but they sure loved everything about the day once we got there. Shelly and her husband finished their cabin just about a year ago and this was our first time seeing it. Let me just say that it is AMAZING! It is so beautiful! And I am so happy for them that they have this wonderful getaway place. As well as so grateful they shared it with us for the day!
We arrived at about 11:00 and got the grand tour of the cabin before we headed over to the lake for a few hours. Ashton and Gunnar loved playing with Hunter and Logan...they are Shelly's 10 year old twins and they are about the cutest sweetest boys you will ever meet.
Her girls Avery and Gabbie are adorable too.
Shelly and I got to catch up for a couple hours while they played and played in the sand and water...I love Bear Lake!
We snapped these next couple pictures and started loading up our stuff when all of a sudden a huge wind came in and blew sand hard all over us and blew our stuff everywhere!
The kids had all already mostly made it up to the cars, but after it blew through we had to go collect all of the stuff it had blown around. Luckily the only thing we couldn't find was one little flip flop.
Anyway we got all loaded up and headed up to the clubhouse pool by the cabin and stayed there for a couple hours. It was pretty chilly at that point so the kids were loving the hot tub.
Ashton and Gunnar were loving diving down to the bottom of the hot tub over and over and over again to collect these little things...
It still amazes me how far they've come with swimming this summer!
So after all of the kids decided they were done swimming we headed back to the cabin and hung out there till about 8:30. It was still SOOOO windy and they were all having so much fun playing on the deck in the crazy wind!
They got towels and stood on one end and held onto the other end and the strong wind would scoot them across the deck!
We had the best day that day...such great memories with great friends.
On the way home Gunnar said "Wouldn't it be funny if two families lived in the same house?" I could see his little mind working thinking of how fun it would be to live in their cabin with them...haha :)
And then he zonked out...
It will be fun to go back next week...they invited us to come stay a night.
I loved that when I asked Hunter and Logan what their favorite thing is about their cabin, they said "The view." Then after seeing it...I can't say I blame them, you can see the entire lake!! So fun :)
