Preschool Graduation (again :)

Yesterday Ashton graduated from his second year of preschool. I can't believe another year has already come and gone and after this summer he'll be in elementary school! I am so proud of how far he has come and how much he has learned this past year, but I really don't want it to be time for kindergarten already. Can't I just keep him this age and this size forever??? Our last car ride up to Melody Lane. They laughed the whole way at some song on the radio...
Buddies :)
Anyway his little graduation ceremony was really cute. They showed us all of their sign language letters again, then sang a couple of little songs, then got their diplomas.
Lars took off work to come to it and Grandma and aunt Kelli came down for the day and he was excited to have us all there for it.

Here he is with his cute teachers...
Congratulations Ashton!

Then end of Soccer...

Well soccer ended up being a lot of fun (for the most part). Ashton seemed to get into it more as each game came and went. His coach, Elana, was awesome...honestly one of the nicest, most genuine and positive people I've ever met! It was fun for him to get to meet lots of new kids and form some new friendships. He didn't always concentrate on the game or the ball, and even spent half of one game running around pretending to freeze all of the other kids, but overall it was a great experience for him and he says he wants to...
"play soccer forever now!"
(I LOVE this picture of him with his real smile!)
He thought it was the coolest thing ever when his coach presented him with this little trophy after the last game...Now he thinks he should get a trophy for everything he does!

He had his first t-ball practice last night and loved it too, so hopefully
it will turn out well also.
Stay tuned!

Mother's Day...late

First of all Happy late Mother's Day to the wonderful Moms in my life...of course my own Mom, my Step-Mom Michelle, and my Mother-in-Law. As well as all of my amazing friends who are Moms! I hope you all had a great day!
Mine was great this year. Lars and the boys let me sleep in till 8:00!!! (yes that is sleeping in for me when I'm usually up with this little stinker by 6:00 or so). So that alone would have been enough, but they also brought me breakfast in bed and these cute cards.
Lars made this one :) Awww...(and he will love that I posted a picture of it!)
It had a whole agenda on the back for my day, and then this one was from the boys...Every time I open it I hear Ashton's cute little voice saying-
"Happy Mother's Day Mommy, I love you..."
I want it to last forever, so I guess I better stop opening it over and over!

After breakfast we got ready and went to church, then stopped off at Sam's and got a new family tent for camping this summer. Then we grabbed food from Rumbi and took it to the park to eat. I was a little (okay a lot) sad because they were all out of fish tacos!!! But I sucked it up and got a salad instead. Anyway, then we went home and put Gunnar down for a nap and I took off and went shopping by myself all afternoon while Lars put up the new tent on the lawn for the boys to play in. When I finally got home Lars made chicken parmigian for dinner.

Thanks boys for a fun day and for making me feel so appreciated and loved!
I love you all so much...and thank God for you every single day and really cherish being a Mom.
Oh and this was how I ended my day...

hee hee!

Dear Ashton...

Yesterday you made my day.
I had so much fun at the Mother's Picnic at the park with you and your preschool class. It isn't often that you and I get to spend time alone together, so on those rare occasions, it is so special to me.
You looked so handsome :)
I tried to talk you into getting food from Rumbi, but you had your heart set on McDonald's to take for lunch, so we pulled through and you got a happy meal with chicken nuggets and fries and a sprite.
After we ate our lunch you gave me my Mother's Day gift...
It brought tears to my eyes to open it up and read this...
Thank you my sweet boy.
You are just growing up way too fast.
I love you more than you will ever know.
Love, Mommy

Feeding the ducks...

My sister and I took the boys up to feed the ducks at First Dam today. We haven't been yet this year and it was a little chilly, but lots of fun. Kelli informed me that she'd never fed ducks before! But I guess I probably hadn't either before kids :)

Ashton practiced and practiced and was SO excited when he finally got a rock to skip about 4 times on the water!

Love these boys!

Treehouse Museum

Last Tuesday my sister needed to go to Ogden, so the boys and I decided to join her and we all met my Mom for lunch, then headed over to the Treehouse Museum. We'd never been before, but I'd been wanting to take Ashton and Gunnar there and it was so fun!
So much cute stuff for them to do and play with.
They absolutely LOVED it!
Some of their favorite things...
The little doctor room...Ashton loved looking at the x-rays and the inside of the body and looking at the little slides through the microscope. Gunnar liked feeding the baby :)
The cute little school house...we probably spent 45 minutes in it!The music room...
Riding horses and milking a cow...Camping...
I love this picture of Gunnar looking up at Aunt Kelli as they're
driving the fire truck... Almost every room had dress up, so we had to take part in that...It was a fun way to spend our day and I think we'll go back soon.
Did I mention how much I LOVE having my sister
staying with us??? What a blessing!
Thanks for meeting us Mom :)
