I really need to catch up...I'm getting so far behind again. Days just go by so fast and it's hard to keep caught up with anything!
This year we celebrated Thanksgiving at our house for the first time ever. It was nice to be able to stay home and off of the busy roads! So Grandma and Grandpa Harry and Aunt Kelli came down for the day.
The boys had fun just playing at home with them all day, then they headed home that afternoon.
Friday we stayed home ALL DAY.
We got our tree out and set up first thing...
Then Ashton went to the Muppet movie with his friend Quentyn...so that broke up the day, but we decided we needed to get out and go somewhere for the rest of the weekend. So we got up on Saturday and drove to Layton and took the boys to Chuck E Cheese. They've only been one other time I think and they LOVE it. They had so much fun! We let them play for a couple hours then we got back on the road and drove to downtown Salt Lake and checked into the Radisson.
Our plan was to let the boys swim for awhile, then get ready and ride Trax down to the Planetarium and watch a show, then have dinner and ride Trax back to our room.
They LOVE getting to stay in a hotel, and it's been awhile since we have, so they were really excited. And I was excited that Lars was healed enough to take them swimming so I didn't have to!
Oh how they love the hot tub :)
It was nice too that they had the whole pool and hot tub to themselves for over an hour.
We've never ridden Trax before and it's free downtown, so that was fun too.
The boys have never been to the Planetarium before and love stuff like that, so we thought that would be something fun and different to do.
(haha...the combination of the look on Gunnar's face, the dry ice and the red-eye make Gunnar look a little crazy!)
Lots of times the books Ashton brings home from the library are about planets, so we knew they'd love it there. It was a later show so we didn't even get out of there till close to 8, so by the time we found a place to eat and sat down and got our food, it was almost 9. Poor Gunnar was exhausted and fell asleep right after our food came. Cute boy :)
Our boys never fall asleep anywhere but their own beds!

Of course he got his second wind when we got back to our room, but once they both settled down they slept good all night. Sunday morning we got up and went to the buffet in our hotel, then Lars took them swimming again. Then it was time to check out and head home. It was a fun little getaway!
