California Adventure...

On Friday we went to California Adventure (right next to Disneyland). It was another fun, fun day...
Some of the highlights were...
Lots of cute stuff in A Bugs Land...the little theater in there was one of my very favorite things! So cute!
And these cute little bumper cars...
 Gunnar loved them :)
Gunnar's first taste of cotton candy...
Yum :)
Lars and Ashton went on the Grizzly River Run ride, while Gunnar and I watched and stayed dry :)
Then the boys spent lots of time here...
So fun!
We met Russell and the dog Doug from the movie Up...
Practicing their wilderness explorer moves :)
 Lots of snack breaks...:)
$6.00 hotdog!
One of my faves...frozen chocolate covered banana :)
 Ice Cream!
Just having a little break...watching this huge ferris wheel that we did not go on...
It really is a small world after all...when you run into your next door neighbors!
The boys with cute little Reagan :)
The Monsters Inc. ride was really cute! The detail in some of the rides is amazing!
Finally after getting in line twice, then the ride being shut down Ashton and Lars got to ride what ended up being Ashton's very favorite ride of the whole trip...California Screamin'! They got two fast passes for it and rode it twice in a row. A huge roller coaster that loops upside down...It made me so nervous for our skinny little Ashton to go on it! But he LOVED it!
Can't even see his little head next to Lars...
I took pictures of the pictures they snap of you when you're on the ride...love these!
Not long after they rode that, my camera battery died :(
The rest of that day was so fun...we did a few more rides, then
went and got our spot for the World of Color light show...
An amazing water/light/music show. Gunnar and I sat and saved our spot while Lars and Ashton went and grabbed us some food. By the time they got back it was pretty dark, so we sat and ate our food in the dark while we waited for the show to start. I had the best chicken tacos and it was so fun just sitting there with our little family eating our dinner waiting for the show...one of my best memories from the trip.
The light show started not long after we got done and it was awesome! We were in the wet zone and got soaked, but it was so fun. It really makes you want to come home and watch all of the great Disney movies. We didn't get out of there till almost 10:00, and our poor little drenched Gunnar fell asleep in the stroller as we walked back to the shuttle.
Such a fun day :)
I loved California Adventure and can't wait to go back some day!
Oh and one other thing I have to mention (to look back on someday)...it wasn't that day, it was actually the first day right after we checked into our hotel and the boys were getting ready to go swimming. I asked them to stop and take a picture and told them to smile...of course Ashton was mad because he had to stop for a minute, but then he just kind of stopped and stared at me and said "You're always smiling Mom." I loved it...it made my day :)
